Happy Monday! Mondays are the best for starting new routines, getting back on track, and eating healthier. When I moved to California, I was suddenly interested in what I am actually eating/drinking and what is exactly going into my body. I think it's because there is an awareness here more than when I was living in Texas.
Throughout my whole life I have never looked at nutritional labels, counted calories, mentally kept track of how much sugar/carbs/fatty foods I was eating in a day; I just ate what I wanted when I wanted. With that being said, I want to state that I don't binge eat donuts at two in the morning either! Haha! In the last fourteen years I have not eaten red meat or seafood. In the last thirteen years I have not had any sodas. It's not like I had a terrible diet, I just don't think I was the slightest bit concerned with what chemical additives were in the foods I was eating. I also probably was not drinking anywhere near enough water as I should have been and when I was drinking water, what is actually in the plastic water bottles?

Along with feeling better from using the copper water bottle, I have been even inspired to dig deeper in how to eat and drink healthier. On August the 4th I have decided to go 100% vegan! I don't think it will be terribly hard since I already do not eat meat and I don't really like cheese. I do eat grilled chicken and two boiled egg whites every day, so that will be the toughest part.
I truly believe we should educate ourselves on what we eat and drink and there is no better time than the present!
