Hi there! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I am obviously super confused with my countries today, aren't I? A Parisian style outfit on Cinco de Mayo...who does that?! Well I will celebrate with a taco and margarita or something, I suppose!
Today I am sharing an outfit from yesterday that was picked with a purpose. Yesterday when I got dressed for the day I was just so not feeling like being in anything restricting; I wanted to be able to wear something that is forgiving and allows you to eat delicious sprinkle donuts. So on days like those, throw on a black cotton dress and voila! I stopped by Carrera Cafe for this delicious coffee and donut. Guess what? This donut tastes better than it looks AND it is gluten free and vegan! Hallelujah! If you live in the Los Angeles area or are visiting, make Carerra Cafe a pit stop; it's delightful!
This dress is from American Apparel a couple of months back when I stopped in for their store closing sale. Since this actual dress cannot be purchased from them anymore, I have linked a few options below. They are actually really good black cotton dresses, I might be placing an order for all three tonight! You can never have too many black dresses!
I added on to my dress with this silk scarf that was my mom's from the seventies. I also linked similar options below. Along with the scarf, throw on a panama hat because that just completes a look in my opinion. If you look at previous posts, I am wearing this panama hat in probably sixty percent of my outfits. GUILTY AS CHARGED! In my defense, I have styled it with different outfits every time.
What is your go-to outfit when you are wanting to eat sprinkle donuts and you just don't care?
